COMPANY HISTORY

Incorporated in 1963, Sigma-Netics, Inc. introduction to the pressure switch market came as a result of a request from NASA for a field repairable adjustable pressure switch for the launch tower. The progression from that application to switches for the US Military came as a natural. Switches are now being supplied for the C5, C131, C130, Stinger Missile, Bradley Fighting Vehicle, Hercules Vehicle and others. Commercial aerospace customers include Learjet, DeHavilland, Raytheon and Boeing.

1973 Sigma-Netics entered into the accelerator and directional control business for electric (walk behind) fork lifts for Linde, Nacco and Clark.

In 1974 Sigma-Netics began manufacturing pressure switches for the demanding off-road industry. We currently supply switches to Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere and JI Case and others. These applications include braking systems, power steering systems, transmissions, alarm systems and many others.

1980 Sigma-Netics introduced a line of rotary actuators for use in environmental control systems in commuter and executive aircraft for Hamilton Sundstrand.

Over the past 40 years Sigma-Netics has built a reputation in the marketplace for products that meet the most demanding requirements where reliability, repeatability and accuracy are critical. Our new line of hydroformed metal bellows and bellows assemblies continue to build upon the reputation. As of January 2003 Sigma-Netics has become the exclusive US representative of an ISO 9001 manufacturer of precision hydroformed metal bellows.
